KINGSLAND, Ga. -- On Friday afternoon, the Kingsland Police Department confirmed the arrest of four armed robbery suspects.
KPD responded to a home invasion robbery in the 900 block of South Grove Blvd. around 2:56 a.m. Friday morning.
Deputies received a 911 report that several armed suspects were running from a mobile home at Camden Point.
When the officers arrived they discovered that the suspects had kicked open the front door of the mobile home and demanded money from the people inside.
Two of the victims were 'pistol whipped' during the robbery and were transported to the Southeast Georgia Medical Center in St. Mary's for treatment. A small child and female victim were not injured during the robbery.
The suspects took a large flat screened television, a cellular telephone, two lap top computers and a small amount of money.They left the area in a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Three male suspects were armed with a twelve gauge pump action shotgun and two full sized pistols.
A "BOLO" was issued and a short time later Kingsland Officer Buck Aldridge located the suspect vehicle as it was traveling East on Scrubby Bluff Road towards St. Marys. The suspect vehicle was stopped without incident.
All four suspects were arrested after the victims' property was located inside the car. All weapons used in the robbery were also located inside the vehicle.
Jordan Marvin Banks, 21, Shakita Charmaine James, 30 and two juveniles were arrested and transported to the Camden County Jail.
In addition to the incident in Kingsland, property from a similar crime which had occurred in St. Marys approximately one hour before was recovered and turned over to the St Marys Police Department for investigation.
