SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Police in coastal Georgia say a two-day operation led to seven women being arrested for prostitution and 13 men being arrested for pandering.
Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police spokesman Julian Miller says the department worked with officers from Pooler, Garden City, Port Wentworth and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to address prostitution issues along a stretch of Interstate 95.
Miller says the operation was executed last week and the suspects used a website to set up meetings at local hotels.
Miller says women from Georgia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida were arrested during the operation.
Officials say men from Georgia and South Carolina were arrested for pandering and another man was arrested for pimping.
