VALDOSTA, Ga. -- New surveillance video has been released from the night 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson died.

His family hoped the surveillance video would give them answers in what happened inside his high school gym the day he died. Instead, they said they do not see a clear picture of anything.

The family wants to learn how their 17-year-old son ended up in a gym mat. Investigators say he suffocated trying to retrieve a shoe.

"And is it a coincidence that the one camera out of 36 cameras which we were given tape from this should be the only camera that is out of focus?" said Chevene King.

King said the family got worthless and unusable video. Nothing time stamped they say, nearly impossible to sort out. The one camera near the gym mat, titled and blurry.

"It is too much to be a coincidence how can anybody say to this family that they should accept this as the truth," said family attorney Benjamin Crump.

The Johnson family vows to press despite what they call lies.

"Every day we get lie after lie, lie after lie. You keep telling a lie, you are going to have keep coming back with a lie. Sooner or later the lies are going to end," said Jacquelyn Johnson, Kendrick's mother.

"This is one family not going to take it. We are going to stand, it doesn't matter how long it takes," said Kenneth Johnson,
Kendrick's Dad.

The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office said it did not edit anything.
