BAXLEY, Ga. -- Authorities in south Georgia say a 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder in the death of another teen that was initially reported as a hunting accident.
Appling County Sheriff Benny Deloach told WTOC-TV that investigators have determined the death of 16-year-old Vince Lane Combee on Dec. 1 was not accidental.
Investigators have said the teen was shot and later died. The circumstances that led up to the teen's death are unclear.
The Associated Press typically doesn't identify juvenile crime suspects. Authorities say the teen who was arrested is being held without bond in the Appling County Jail, in Baxley.
