NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. -- Her nickname is "LT." She says her husband says that stands for "lots of trouble."
But Linda is bringing a terrific message to us from Neptune Beach, her home for many decades.
She and her other beaches friends are passionate about the A1A Parrothead Club. Parrotheads are fans of musician Jimmy Buffett.
They also believe that partying with a purpose can make good things happen.
So Linda says when she heard about our M-Line project, she told everybody she wanted the group to help.
Click on the video to see all the cash the parrotheads raised to help us give free mammograms to women in need.
Linda has special motivation. She found her breast cancer doing Buddy Check 12.
So if you want to take some sound advice from a spunky lady, do your self exam this month.
Linda says her lump felt like a rock, hard and obviously different from other lumps in her breast.
If you want a free Buddy Check 12 kit, just call 904-202-CARE to our partner, Baptist Health.
If you can't afford a mammogram, call our M-Line at 1-877-9-MY-MAMO. The M-Line is our non-profit project with Komen North Florida for the Cure.
