"If it weren't for Buddy Check 12 I might not be here," a sentiment both June and Donna share. This month's survivors, June and Donna, both found their cancer doing a self-exam.
Donna's felt like a grape. "You know your breasts and you should notice something like that right away." But in the span of six weeks her grape sized lump grew even larger.
Donna's husband, Glenn said, "If you leave it alone you're going down." So Glenn pushed Donna to the doctor and now her whole family is so grateful.
June is just as grateful. One year after finding a small lump by her nipple, June says she is celebrating Buddy Check 12.
"I appreciate people more and I definitely thank God more. I definitely thank God for all the blessings I have."
June's lump was about the size of a pearl. She says that when she touched it traveled. Thankfully she says, she caught the bump early.
"I had lymph nodes taken out but they were all clear."
So June and Donna congratulations on saving your lives!
