For a group of local women who love their Corvettes finding out that one of them had breast cancer was a very bad day.
"It was very very hard the day my doctor said, you have breast cancer," says Barbara Anderson. But Barbara persevered and has managed to keep her breast cancer in remission for the last four years.
Barbara Anderson contacted Jeannie with her story and told her, "We're donation $500 to Buddy Check 12." Looking back she and her group of friends, the Jacksonville Corvette Club, say they're very proud of what she has accomplished.
Anderson says she got 100% support from the club and they know that Buddy Check 12 saves lives. In fact, another member of Barbara Anderson's car group was just diagnosed with breast cancer.
Sheran Dawley found a lump while doing Buddy Check 12. She says, "I'm going to be a survivor. I want to be added to the list of wonderful women who are survivors!"
Hats off to Sheran, Barbara, and all of the Jacksonville Corvette Club who know the importance of Buddy Check 12 and know that it can save a life.
