JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Ever done Zumba? People who Zumba says it's great fun because you can dance and wiggle off the calories.
Best of all, this Saturday you can Zumba in a city-wide event and help in the fight against breast cancer.
Heritage Christian Center is hosting a Zumbathon Saturday at 7764 Normandy Village Parkway in Jacksonville from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Certified Zumba® instructors will facilitate the Party in Pink.
Tickets are $15.00 and proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
Organizers sent us this description of what Zumba is, in case it's new to you: Zumba® is the new workout craze that combines Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves creating a unique fitness program. The routines feature both fast and slow rhythms including resistance training, that when combined together help tone and sculpt the body while burning fat.
