JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A burglar struck One Accord Ministries International again Saturday morning, making it four crimes against the church in less than a year.
The burglar stole a flatscreen television off the wall after breaking in through a window, then smashed through the glass front door to get out. This comes three weeks after the church's air conditioners were stolen for the second time.
"It's extremely frustrating," said Pastor Dr. Jan Goodman. "We reach out to the community and help feed and clothe them. We feel like it is likely someone we have helped because they know our pattern. We will help someone in need, just ask, they don't have to take anything."
The church is on Waller Street near McDuff Avenue and I-10.
"I tell the members to hold their heads high amid these trials. We have made the repairs and move on. We hope it doesn't happen again," said Goodman.
The church has installed a security system but somehow the burglar avoided the motion detectors in time to do the crime and leave before police arrived. Police have no suspects.
