Police investigating burglaries to businesses

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating several burglaries that happened in the 6800 block of Wilson Boulevard.

Shannon Hartley, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said a burglary happened at the Dollar General store located at 6855 Wilson Blvd. on November 3 at 3:40 a.m.

Hartley said someone smashed the glass front door with a cinder block, went into the store and then stole four cans of Axe Body Spray before leaving.

The same person, Hartley said, can be seen on surveillance cameras at the Family Dollar located nearby at 6358 Wilson Blvd. on Wednesday, October 31 at 11 p.m.

Hartley said the same method was used to break into the store to steal a pack of Soft Batch Cookies.
