COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery Saturday morning at Stop and Go Food Store in Lake City on State Road 47.
The suspect entered the convenience store located just south of I-75 at 7:15 a.m., armed with a handgun.
Police descried the suspect as a black male, 6 feet tall with a thin to medium build. He was wearing dark colored pants, a white t-shirt under a gray hooded sweatshirt, and light colored Nike athletic sneakers. The suspect also wore a black ski type mask over his face.
After robbing a clerk at gunpoint, he left the store.
He was seen entering the passenger side of a light green mini van, which was last seen traveling south on State Road 47.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Columbia County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers of Columbia County. Callers to Crime Stoppers will always remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
