LAKE CITY, Fla. -- The Internet Cafe located at 2240 U.S. 90 West was robbed after an employee went outside to check why the power had been cut off.

Ed Seifert, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said the cafe reported the robbery around 12 a.m. Christmas Eve.

Seifert said employees told police someone shut off the power to the business and when an employee went outside to turn it back on someone broke into the office.

A second employee who was still inside tried to subdue the robber but was unsuccessful, Seifert said.

The robber stole an undetermined amount of money and then fled the business.

Seifert said no injuries were reported and no weapons were displayed.

Police said the man is described as being approximately 5'11" with a large build.  At the time of the robbery he was wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt and had a red bandana covering his face.  Seifert said he was last seen leaving the Internet Cafe in a white, regular cab pickup truck with the tail gate down.
