JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man is in custody after allegedly firing a gun at a house in the 5300 block of Freemont Street during a birthday party Thursday, according to police.
Detective M.E. Pichardo with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the man came from his home to the party and a fight broke out then the shooting started.
Fifteen people were in the house at the time of the shooting and no one was hurt, Det. Pichardo said.
Police are still talking to witnesses.
Pichardo reports that there had been problems in the past with the alleged shooter.
The man has been arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Police have not released the man's identity.
