JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Nominations are being accepted by the City of Jacksonville and the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Commission for the 6th Annual Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Awards.
Nominations will be accepted until the end of March, a release from the City of Jacksonville said.
The awards recognize individuals, businesses, organizations and schools which make strides to keep the city clean.
Award recipients will be recognized at a ceremony later this year, the release said.

Winner from last year's competition include Sarah Nan and Dunncan Pullen who were recognized for their leadership. The husband and wife team worked to reduce pollution in local creeks, tributaries and rivers. The release said the pair collected more than 50,000 cigarette butts.
Nominees must complete an application, attach a summary of their achievements and any supporting documentation.
Hard copies may be mailed to Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Awards, Attention: Dan Durbec, 1321 Eastport Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
Applications may also be emailed to email@example.com. Nominations must be received no later than Friday, March 29, the release said.
