PALATKA, Fla. -- Five people were arrested at the Adult Super Center on Tuesday.
The arrests were part of an ongoing investigation into customers engaging in public acts of lewdness.
Among the arrested were:
Donald Harry Beavers, 88, was charged with exposure of sexual organs and given a bond of $504.
Migueal Flores Ramirez, 59, was charged with exposure of sexual organs and entering a place for the purpose of lewdness. Ramirez was given a bond of $1,008.
Edwin T. Lynch, 80, was charged with entering a place for the purpose of lewdness and given a bond of $504.
Emanuel G. Koutelas, Jr., 74, was charged with entering a place for the purpose of lewdness and given a bond of $504.
Alva R. Yusem, 44, was charged with owning, maintaining or operating a place for the purpose of lewdness and given a bond of $504.
An undercover officer caught the people in the store's theater viewing area.
This is not the first time the store has seen trouble. In fact, it's the third undercover operation at the Adult Super Store. Others were arrested in July and October 2012.
"This is the third undercover operation conducted at the business since
July 24, 2012, and each time officers have observed individuals openly
engaged in lewd behavior in violation of Florida Statute. Our scrutiny
of this business will continue until such time as they come into
compliance with the law," Sheriff Jeff Hardy said.
The store's owner said he will close the theater to prevent something like this from happening in the future.
