JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman has been charged with murder in the Sunday shooting death of a man at a Westside post office.
Arianne Alexys Myles, 22, reportedly shot her ex-boyfriend Harold Steven Davis, 23, outside of the U.S. Post Office at 7055 Blanding Boulevard, according to witness accounts given to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Myles confronted Davis with a gun as he was coming out of the post office, according to a witness who accompanied Myles to the post office.
Davis was shot by Myles several times, even after he was on the ground, the witness said. The witness told police they did not know Myles was going to shoot Davis.
Myles then fled in a vehicle traveling northbound on Blanding Boulevard. An eyewitness kept her vehicle in sight and then police were able to catch up with her.
A crash occurred between Myles' vehicle and another vehicle at Timuquana Road and Seaboard Avenue. Myles was then transported to Shands Jacksonville with minor injuries, where she was absentee booked into the Duval County Jail.
