ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Another neighborhood is proposed for St. Johns County, and some people in the real estate business say that's a sign of a small resurgence in the economy.
This proposed neighborhood is called Oakridge. Nearly 200 homes are planned as well as commercial space.
It's located on Veterans Parkway between North Durbin Parkway and Longleaf Pine Parkway, just south of Race Track Road in northwest St. Johns County.

John Metcalf has been is a real estate lawyer and has been in the business for 30 years. He has seen a lot of changes, from rapid development to a slump around 2008.
He said neighborhoods are starting to pop up again in St. Johns County because of the good school system, the location and because people are wanting to buy new homes again.
He adds that low interest rates and relatively affordable prices push people to buy as well.
