JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Duval County is in the bottom third in Florida when it comes to healthy people, according to the the annual study done by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Of all 67 counties, Duval scored 47 with nearby St. Johns County topping the list scoring number 1. Clay County finished in the top ten at 7.

A variety of health factors were measured or surveyed, such as alcohol use and smoking.

In those two categories, one-in-five people said they either smoked or were heavy alcohol users.

17 percent of people in Duval described their health as either "poor or "fair." When it comes to physical activity, 26 percent responded they are inactive.

Duval did make some strides in one area -- teenage pregnancy. In 2008, 50/1,000 births were from teenager mothers. In 2011, the number improved with 38 out of every 1,000 births belonging to teen moms.
