JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Nearly 20 people are displaced after an early morning fire on the city's west side.
It happened around 1:45 a.m. at the Preserve at Cedar River in the 4200 block of Confederate Point Road.
Multiple crews from Jacksonville Fire & Rescue responded, along with the American Red Cross.
The extent of the damage, as well as the cause of the fire, are not known at this time.
A property manager asked all media to leave the scene.
A spokesman for J.F.R.D. said it could be a few days before more information is released about the fire.
The American Red Cross has extended help to displaced individuals.
