JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Some city services that were cut during the last budget are being restored.
Mayor Alvin Brown signed a bill on Tuesday protecting services.
The city plans to increase the frequency of mowing city right-of-ways and boosting economic development in areas of Northwest Jacksonville and near the Jacksonville International Airport.
The bill will also restore janitorial maintenance in city park facilities and reactivate street lights turned off due to budget cuts.
