JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 26-year-old man was killed after being struck by a truck and several other vehicles Friday night.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Norman Spaulding was traveling northbound in the outside lane of US1 (MLK Jr. Parkway) when his motorcycle was struck by a Chevy pick-up truck.
The pick-up truck driven by, Trevor Mair, was traveling southbound on US1 (MLK Jr. Parkway) in the left turn lane for I-95 entrance ramp.
The front part of Spaulding's motorcycle hit the right side of the pick-up truck in the intersection. Spaulding was ejected and landed in the northbound lanes on US1 northbound.
Spaulding and his motorcycle were struck by several vehicles that were also traveling northbound on US1.
As a result of the initial crash, four other crashes occurred.
No other injuries reported in this incident.
Charges are currently pending.
