JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with an active illegal gambling video game at a downtown Jacksonville mini mart.
On April 17, Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers arrived at the Phoenix Avenue Mini Mart and found an alleged illegal gambling machine in operation.
According to a JSO report, the officers informed employee Yonas Gebreyesus, 39, the game is prohibited and needed to be turned off.
The officers also issued the suspect an notion to appear for allegedly issuing alcohol to a minor on April 17.
Officers arrived at the mini mart again on Wednesday to conduct an inspection. When they entered the store, an officer found a customer allegedly playing the gambling machine.
The report stated that the suspect was not eligible to receive another notice to appear and Gebreyesus was arrested.
Gebreyesus was released from the Duval County Jail Wednesday night on a $1,508 bond.
