JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad was called Monday evening to a shopping center on Beach Boulevard.
The bomb squad was investigating a suspicious package at 13740 Beach Boulevard near Hodges Boulevard.
Lt. D.L. Kitchen said the bomb squad responded to a call around 5:40 p.m. from the Subway in the Target shopping center.
There was a suspicious package near a garbage can.
Employees called the JSO bomb squad, which determined there was no explosives in the package.
There is no suspect information available and the investigation is ongoing.
Subway will be reopening shortly.
