The Birdies for the Brave Patriots' Outpost officially opened Wednesday and 11 a.m. with a ceremony featuring four special presentations to deserving military heroes. The PGA TOUR has had a seven-year relationship with the Wounded Warrior Project and other Birdies for the Brave home front groups.

PGA TOUR player Kyle Stanley will present wounded warrior Tyler Steinle with the TPC Summerlin membership. Steinle suffered several injuries resulting from IED blasts in 2009 and 2010 while in Afghanistan with the United States Army.

Also throughout the day, when players and caddies got to the 17th hole, they switched roles. The caddy would tee up and swing away.

Fans also met up with Billy Horschel and Luke Guthrie between 3 and 4 p.m. yesterday. This is Guthrie's first Players tournament.

Military Appreciation Day continued with "A Salute to the US Navy" starting at 5:30 p.m. This ceremony honoring the men and women who have served our country was hosted on the back lawn of the Clubhouse.

Country star Dierks Bentley gave a special performance. This was public event, but guests needed a tournament ticket.
