Marcus Everette Jackson, 23
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Marcus Everette Jackson was convicted Friday morning in the 2011 murder of 19-year-old Terrel Holsey, according to a State Attorney's press release.
Jackson, 23, was convicted on one count of First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder as well as one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, the release detailed.
In 2011, he confronted Holsey and another unknown victim about a previous altercation. Jackson then shot 10 bullets at the two. Holsey died with one shot to the head and the other victim was not injured.
Jackson fled the scene, but in 2012, he was spotted driving a stolen vehicle. When police investigated the vehicle they found evidence on his cell phone that linked him to the crime.
Jackson was previously convicted for Possession of Cocaine in April of 2011. As a re-offender, he faces life in prison.
Sentencing is scheduled for the week of June 24.
