JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Authorities have identified the body of a deceased male pulled from the St. Johns River mid-morning Tuesday.
The body has been identified as James Thomas Ricks Jr., 43, the boater who went missing Sunday, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office news release.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, along with Jacksonville Fire and Rescue and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the 200 block of Riverside Avenue.
The body was found by a man who was walking behind the Riverside YMCA, according to Paul. The body was moved to a dock behind the Raymond James Building and was taken for autopsy.
JSO and FWC are investigating the death jointly. The release detailed that there are no signs of foul play at this time and the incident appears to be a boating accident.
