Mohammed Rizwan Ansari, 51
FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- Flagler County Sheriff's Office arrested Mohammed Rizwan Ansari Friday, according to a Flagler County police report.
Ansari, 51, is the owner of a Mobil station and has been charged with Failure to Maintain Workers Compensation Insurance, the report detailed.
The warrant for his arrest was issued on May 28, which comes three months after clerk Zuheily Roman Rosado, 32, was shot and killed while working at the store.
Rosado's family has retained Jacksonville lawyer John Phillips, according to a release from John Phillips. Phillips said if Ansari's workers' compensation coverage would have been current, Rosado's family would have been entitled to money for funeral expenses and up to $150,000 in benefits for her husband and six children. Phillips plans to file suit against Ansari on behalf of Rosado's family next week.
Rosado's killer still remains at large. Phillips' law office has offered up to $5,000 for anyone with any information which will lead to the conviction of her killer.
Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida is also offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any clues that lead to the killer's arrest, and you can remain anonymous. You may contact Crime Stoppers at (888) 227- TIPS (8477)
You can also contact Detective Mark Moy with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office at (386) 586-4801.
According to the report, Anasri was arrested and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility.
