LEVY COUNTY, Fla. -- A traffic crash on US-19 and NW 168th Place kills one and injures four, according to a Florida Highway Patrol police report.
Phillip Beck, 73, of Bell, Florida, was driving his Lincoln Continental north on US-19 when he allegedly drove across a grass median and into on-coming southbound traffic, according to the report.
The report said Beck's vehicle crashed head-on into Richard Lacombe's Chevrolet Town & Country. Becks died at the scene of the crash.
Lacombe, 39, had one adult and three children in the vehicle, ages nine, seven and four, according to the release. All were from Tallahassee, Florida.
Lacombe, Deborah Lacombe, 41, and the children were taken to UF Health at Jacksonville with minor injuries.
It is unknown what caused Beck's to drive into on-coming traffic.
