PALATKA, Fla. -- A hit-and-run suspect was apprehended Thursday after crashing a car into a house and eluding police.
Daryl Lamar Duffy, was stopped by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on May 20 in the area of Crill Avenue and Fern Street.
Duffy refused to stop and a pursuit ensued, according to PCSO.
The pursuit ended when the Mercedes SUV, allegedly being driven by Duffy, crashed in a house at 2502 St. Johns Avenue.
According to police, Duffy fled the scene and was not located until Thursday.
As a result of a week long investigation, police issued a warrant for the arrest of Duffy for Fleeing and Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer, Possession of Cocaine and Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash.
On Thursday around 5:20 p.m., Duffy was spotted in the area of North 16th Street and Washington Street by Officers with the Palatka Police Department, and arrested.
Duffy is being held in the Putnam County Jail with a bond of $20,012.00.
