COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A man has been arrested after allegedly taking cash and credit cards from a woman.
David Wester, 24, of Live Oak, has been charged with Credit Card Fraud, Grand Theft and Fraud by Impersonation, according to a release from Columbia County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Ed Seifert.
The credit card and cash were reported stolen by the woman on Tuesday. Detectives found that Wester used the credit card to purchase gas and items at Walmart.
Wester was identified through surveillance video from both the gas station and the Walmart, Seifert said.
On Friday, Wester was found on the side of U.S. 441 with a disabled vehicle. He admitted to deputies that he had taken the woman's credit card.
Wester is being held on a $15,000 bond.
