The World's Largest Swim Lesson comes to the First Coast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- More than 35-thousand people are expected to participate in the annual World's Largest Swim Lesson around the world.

Drowning is the second leading cause of non-injury death, but children between the ages of one and four are the ones most likely to drown.

Swim lessons help prevent drowning among children and adults.

There are several participating locations including:

  • Harts Pool
  • Cecil Aquatic Center
  • Fletcher High School Pool
  • Julington Creek Plantation Recreation Center
  • Mandarin High School Pool
  • Robert Kennedy Pool
  • Swimming Safari Swim School
