UPDATE, 7/8/13, 2 p.m.: State Road 13 is operating with one lane open, according to Sgt. Chuck Mulligan of the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. Flagmen are alternating traffic via the northbound lane. Southbound lane is still closed while Florida Power & Light conducts repairs.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office says SR-13 near the Rivertown subdivision is closed due to a downed tree.

The tree also took down a transformer and power lines, so crews are on hand trying to restore power to that area as well. It will likely be the late morning before the road is back open.

The road is not passable in either direction at the moment, so expect traffic delays in the area as motorists use an alternate route.
