JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad found a suspected meth lab near the south end of the Main Street bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 2:20 p.m., officers were looking for active transient camps near Main and Prudential Drive, according to JSO Lt. Larry Kitchen.
Two suspects were found near the Main Street bridge southbound ramp cooking a substance the officers found to be meth.
The suspects will likely be arrested and the officers will go through contamination, Kitchen said.
The bomb squad closed the Main Street bridge for an hour during the investigation, but reopened the bridge around 4:45 p.m.
