FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- A man found guilty of a 2011 Palm Coast liquor store robbery will spend 40 years in prison.

Jaquez Shakim Roland, 35, was sentenced to the maximum of 40 years in prison after it was determined that Roland was a repeat offender who committed a crime within three years after being released from prison.

According to a release from State Attorney R.J. Larizza's office, Roland received 30 years for Robbery With A Weapon, five years for False Imprisonment and five years for Grand Theft, and all sentences will be served consecutively.

Roland was convicted on all the above charges, including misdemeanor Battery, in May.

On October 30, 2011, Roland robbed a liquor store wearing a full facial motorcycle helmet, black leather jacket, as well as motorcycle gloves, mask and gear.

Roland's suspicious behavior led to his identification, but it was a DNA match that ultimately helped convict him.
