ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The Clay County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a suspect who allegedly tried to rob a woman at knife point at a VyStar ATM in April.
A woman stopped at the ATM on 1101 Blanding Boulevard on the evening of April 8 when a man "put a silver hunting knife through her driver's side window" and demanded money, according to a CCSO incident report.
The woman then told the man she was not able to get any money and he walked south through the parking lot.
She drove to the restaurant Opies Wings, told people outside what had happened and they called police. An Opies Wings employee then tried to follow the man, but lost track of him.
A police K-9 then tracked two subjects to a nearby residence, but the woman said that neither one of them were the suspect.
Anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to call CCSO at 904-264-6512 and ask to speak with Detective Jermaine Boone.
