JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Angered over the acquittal of George Zimmerman, protesters are hitting Florida where it hurts.
Protesters are targeting the pocketbooks of Floridian's with a boycott of the Sunshine State and all of its products.
The opposition is getting support from Martin Luther King III and Stevie Wonder, as well as a growing number of people on Twitter.
Twitter user Kate Howard Perry writes,"Stevie Wonder just called to say he doesn't love you, Florida. He will boycott until Stand Your Ground ends."
RB Blair writes,"When politicians won't listen to your voice, it's time to vote with our wallet."
Rev. Jesse Jackson, along with the NAACP, spoke to a packed house of supporters at the Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church Wednesday and encouraged the crowd to register to vote and to take a political stance against the 'Stand Your Ground' law.
"Someone says you have the right to eliminate someone you dissagree or don't like, we need to end the stand your ground law so it doesn't end us," said Jesse Jackson.
The civil rights activist adding guns and violence do not set us free.
There is a march scheduled for July 20th at the Jacksonville City Hall for 11:30 am.
It's being called the "Justice for Trayvon march".
