BAKER COUNTY, Fla. -- The Baker County Press reported a judge dismissed a case against a Macclenny woman on the basis of Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law.

Heather McDonald  was charged with disorderly conduct in a December fight with Lisa Meister, both of Macclenny, according to First Coast News' partner The Florida Times-Union.

McDonald's attorney argued that McDonald feared for her safety as she was accosted by a screaming Meister.

McDonald initially walked away and was struck, police said.

Meister was placed on six-month probation for disorderly conduct.
