JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- At the Walmart on Beach and Hodges, you may be able to save some money, but on Thursday the only currency that mattered was smiles!
This "Walmart Heart Celebration" is all about making the day of Jordan, Maxine and Samantha Mallow. All three have Famialial Dysnautonomia, a terminally ill disease.
"It is not a forgiving disease, if you make one little mistake you lose your child," said their mother, Sondra Mallow.
Mrs. Mallow teared us up as she watched her three children smile from ear-to-ear as they were made honorary Walmart truck drivers and got a pile of gifts from Walmart employees.
"I would say meeting Chum, and the Marines," was their favorite part of the day said Jordan, Maxine and Samantha.
Their dad snapped away photos and Jordan, Maxine and Samantha say they can't believe how many people came out to throw them a party.
"I think we are very lucky and they are fun," said Jordan, Maxine and Samantha with big smiles.
Of course now being honorary truck drivers, the three got a chance to take a spin around the Walmart parking lot in one of the big trucks.
Enjoying the moment while their parents enjoy seeing them smile!
"I hope that they are happy," told Sondra Mallow," For whatever time they have on this earth."
