JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An estimated 30-thousand fans headed Downtown to attend three games within a half mile radius of each other.
It was a busy sports night for Jacksonville fans as the Jaguars scrimmage took place at Everbank Field, the Sharks had a playoffs game at the Veterans Memorial Arena and the Suns took the field at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
Which team jersey gets the spotlight?
That was the struggle many Jacksonville sports fan faced before heading Downtown.
"We were going to the Jags and then we decided to come and see the Sharks," said Amanda Juskiewicz.
For the Juskiewicz family it was the Sharks, for John Koeppen it was the Suns.
"It was a toss-up between the Sharks and the Suns but I guess I am a hardcore Suns fan," said Koeppen.
And about a quarter mile away, the Jaguars scrimmaged at EverBank Field.
"Tailgating finally. Got the opportunity to come out here and it's just scrimmage, but a tailgate's a tailgate," said John Summers, a Jaguars fan.
In the middle of it all, City Hall Pub was thriving in the action.
"Oh it's slamming," said Sherrie Chase, head server at City Hall Pub. "On event nights it's slamming big time here. We're here three hours before and we're here till they tell us to shut the doors down."
The restaurant and bar brought in the entire staff to work tonight, a band, and plenty of characters to draw in the crowds.
"We're expecting thousands and thousands of people," added Chase.
Thousands of people also be poured onto the roads after the games, but many fans said they don't mind.
"I just bought a new car so I don't mind being in traffic," said Amy Mcillwain, a Suns fan.
"We kind of planned ahead and brought some extra food. We're just going to hang out and reflect; just kind of hang out and talk about it and have a good time. There's plenty of places to actually walk to if we want to too," said Brian Imhulse, a Jaguars fan.
