STARKE, Fla. -- Two adults were arrested after an apartment containing drugs and two children was searched by the Starke Police Department Thursday.
SPD's Street Crimes Unit searched the apartment of George Clarence Morris, 43, and Alexia K. Mack, 36, on South Thompson Street around 7:02 a.m. Thursday morning.
During the search police found two juveniles, a 7-year-old female and a 6-month-old female, according to SPD.
Police also found a number of drugs and paraphernalia including 18 Hydrocodone 10mg tablets and 16 individual bags containing 1 gram of marijuana each. One of the bags was found beneath a child's toy.
The children were released to the custody of a relative.
According to police, Morris and Mack were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prescription medication without a prescription.
