LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A man was arrested on August 10 for drugs during a traffic stop, according to a Lake City Police Department press release.
Timothy Bailem, 28, was stopped by LCPD for not wearing his seatbelt. During the traffic stop, Bailem allegedly reached for his glove compartment, where Officer Anthony found a gun.
According to the release, when Officer Anthony grabbed Bailem's left arm, he fought back and ran from the scene. Officer Anthony found the suspect in an empty lot off Escambia Street and took him into custody.
Along with the semi-automatic pistol, the release states officers found cocaine and marijuana in the suspect's Buick.
Bailem is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of LT 20 marijuana, resisting an officer, and possession of drug equipment. He was booked into the Columbia County Jail and released on $22,000 bond. The vehicle was towed to the city impound yard.
