JSO: Investigating possible abduction on Southside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate a possible abduction.

JSO responded to the reported abduction at Winfield Lakes subdivision off of Atlantic Boulevard around 11:53 p.m.

Authorities say around 10 p.m. a white female with a medium build and blonde hair was having car trouble. The girl went to a neighboring home and asked for help. 

Sergeant Water of JSO said a man wearing a white t-shirt and checkered shorts drove up next to her, "placed her into the vehicle and drove off". Witnesses say they were seen leaving in a white four-door sedan with chrome rims and dark tinted windows.

Police believe the two may have know each other and alcohol may have been involved.

This investigation is still ongoing.
