I-95 South at SR 206 was closed for several hours

  • ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- One person injured in tractor-trailer crash early Tuesday morning on I-95 South at SR 206.

    I-95 was closed for debris clean up and opened at about noon.

    According to the Florida Highway Patrol police report, two tractor-trailers were traveling south down the center lane on I-95 South.

    Darryl Washington, 49, was slowing for traffic and came to almost a complete stop when Darwin Martin, 54, hit the vehicle in the rear, the report detailed. 

    The report said, Washington is in serious condition with non-life threatening injuries at the Flagler Hospital. Martin and the passenger, Fay Esh, 51, were not injured.
