JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman with a gunshot wound crashed her car into a utility pole Monday.
The unidentified female driver crashed a black sedan into a utility pole in a yard of the 2500 block of Barry Drive South in the Lake Forest Hills neighborhood.
According to police on scene, the driver of the car had a gunshot wound to her leg. Police are not sure if the victim was shot before or after she got in the car.
The woman was transported to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life threatening injuries. Her two passengers suffered only minor injuries in the crash.
An investigation is underway and police believe the incident may be related to a domestic dispute. Police have identified a possible shooting suspect in the case, who they believe fled the area in a tan sedan.
