PALATKA, Fla. -- The Palatka Police Department is seeking two suspects in the Monday morning robbery of Bingo Palace on St. Johns Avenue.

Around 10 a.m., the unknown male suspects, armed with handguns, approached employees from the inside as they were opening the business, according to a release from Palatka Police Department Asst. Chief James Griffith.

They demanded money from the cash register and fled on foot down 2nd Street. Two Bingo Palace employees suffered minor injuries during the "hands on confrontation" in the robbery.

One suspect was wearing a black ski mask and another was wearing what appeared to be a woman's stocking with cutouts for the eyes and mouth.

They were described as being about 5'8" and one had a thin build while the other suspect had a medium build, the release detailed.

The suspects were thought to have fled to a nearby apartment complex, but the suspects were not found after police searched the area.

Anyone with information about the suspects' whereabouts is asked to contact the Palatka Police Department at (386) 329-0115, the Crime Tip Hotline at (386) 329-0170 or through Putnam County Dispatch at (386) 329-0801. All information will be kept confidential.
