Police searching for Subway wallet thief they say shoved, robbed elderly woman

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help identifying a strong armed robbery suspect they say shoved and robbed a woman back on Aug. 22.

The unidentified suspect allegedly pushed a 68-year-old woman into the counter of a Subway in the 2200 block of West Edgewood Avenue as she ordered her food, according to a release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Officers said the suspect grabbed her wallet and ran away.

The suspect is described as a black male in late thirties, who is approximately 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. The suspect was wearing a white and green striped shirt with grey pants at the time of the robbery.

Anyone who has any information about the identity or location of the unknown suspect is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.
