JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a aggravated battery call where gunshots were heard at the University Townhomes around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office police report, Officers P. Worbington, D. Smith and J. Barrier found a victim lying outside the building.
The report said Security Officer Miguel Rivera administered first aid to Bobby Clarke, 21, who had a gunshot wound to his thigh. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department transported Clarke to UF Health Jacksonville.
Officers found several pistol rounds in the parking lot.
A witness in the report said she heard about six gunshots before the victim allegedly banged on her door. The witness opened and shut the door on the victim because she had kids in the home.
Another witness stated in the report that he saw the victim lying on the ground and a man wearing white pants, yellow shirt, and a blue hat running North through the complex.
