It is a very special week for a First Coast couple: They are celebrating their 76th wedding anniversary.
Marvin and Frances Braddock met in Baldwin when she was just 5 years old, eloped when she was 17, and went on to have 3 sons and become grandparents.
Marvin, who is now 97, comes to visit his 92 year old wife every day in the nursing home.
And after more than seven decades together, their marriage is still going strong.
"If you want to really know how to stay together, it is a matter of give and take. It evens up at 50-50. You give some and take some and there's no other way you can get through life without it," Marvin said.
"There have been times I could have killed him, but because I had the good Lord and talked it over with him, I was all right," Frances said.
Marvin said he's tells his wife all the time he has never wanted to marry anyone else.
Happy anniversary to Marvin and Frances!
