ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. -- As people all across the country remember where they were September 11, 2001, children who weren't alive that day thank first responders.
Students at Beaches Chapel School make gift baskets every year to deliver to Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, and Jacksonville Beach firefighters and police officers.
"We're glad that they could help and that a lot of people decided to help with 9/11 because that was a big tragedy. And we are very thankful for their assistance," says Beaches Chapel School student Anna Lopez.
"To know these are coming from people that we actually service and we actually protect, it means a whole lot more to any first responder to get a gift like that," says firefighter Randy Wyse.
This is the fifth year students delivered the baskets.
