ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- FUN. will not be performing as scheduled on Saturday night at Mumford and Sons' Gentlemen of the Road Stopover in the Nation's Oldest City.
However, it has been confirmed that Grammy® Award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty will be the replacement for FUN. tonight.
The former member of the Creedence Clearwater Revival has been declared as one of the biggest superstars in the rock and pop world and a national legend.
Representatives for the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover released this statement:
"Just putting the finishing touches on what promises to be an unforgettable Stopover weekend in St. Augustine. Unfortunately, we have some disappointing last-minute news to report. Our friends fun. have had to cancel their set due to a medical issue. We've included their note below:
'Due to doctor's advice, fun. unfortunately regrets to announce they will no longer be appearing at the Gentlemen of the Road festival this Saturday with Mumford & Sons. The band is very disappointed as they have been looking forward to this festival all summer. It is the band's hope Nate's voice will get the proper rest it needs in order to avoid any further cancellations. Fun would like to thank all the fans and Mumford & Sons for their understanding.'
"The rest of the Stopover will go on as planned, and rest assured we will still have plenty of fun without fun. Stay tuned for more updates to the schedule.
